This was announced in an interview to Channel 5 by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak. The decision on which particular chassis model to use will be made already during the final part of the MLRS tests.
Back in 2014, KrAZ presented its own 8x8 KrAZ-N27.3ЕХ chassis with a lifting capacity of 27 tons. Initially, it was planned for the installation of special equipment for the oil and gas industry, but then it was adapted to army needs.
In addition, KrAZ announced the Kraz-Huracan 4-axle armored truck, which can also be used for installation of the MLRS.
Alternatively, the Tatra 4-axle chassis can be used.
